System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM also formerly known as SMS) has support for mobile and embedded devices.
A lot of corporations have been using this for years.
Unfortunately there was a little gap regarding Windows CE 6.0 based devices that Microsoft has now closed with an adapted SCCM client agent.
Due to the fact that are more and more OEMs are moving onto the most recent OS platform it is great to have this support in the field.
Go and look for the new client at the Microsoft support website.
